Emiliano Grillo is a 23 year-old golfer from Argentina. He started his professional career in 2011 by competing in the European Tour and finished in the top 10 after competing in the 2012 Africa Open. In 2014, at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, he was runner-up to Stephen Gallacher. He also won the Visa Open de Argentina.
Competing in 7 events in the 2014-2015 season, he earned enough money to be invited to compete in the 2015 Web.com Tour. He has won three tournaments - the PGA Tour, the Web.com Tour and a local tournament. His greatest success is winning the PGA tournament in Napa, CA, which has strengthened his position in world competition and is now ranked 36th in the Official World Golf Ranking. Despite his wins, he is still being classed as a rookie for the upcoming season.
At the Frys.com Open event, Emiliano competed for the first time as a PGA member. In a sudden death playoff, he made a birdie on the last hole while Kevin Na made a bogey, cinching Emiliano’s win. Winning this event allows Emiliano Grillo entry to the Masters Tournament and the 2016 PGA Championship event.
